Iwona Handzlik - Soprano

 

Iwona Handzlik was born in Bielsko- Biała. In 1999, after 12 years of education at the state music school by the name of Stanisław Moniuszko, she received a diploma in piano.

She continued her musical education at the Academy of Music in vocal department. In 2004 Handzlik received an Socrates- Erasmus scholarship, that allowed her to continue the education in Lubeck ( Germany ).

Davide Alogna - Violin

 

Davide Alogna (Palermo 1980) as violinist is considered one of the best young talent in the Italian music scene. The prestigious magazine Amadeus choose him twice in one year as a cover artist and present two of his recording projects. The first cd (September 2013) was first volume of the complete Franz Schubert violin sonatas. The cd received important critical acclaim and after one year (September 2014) Amadeus publish the second cd, dedicate to the Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, with 2 suite violin and piano and the Concerto all’Antica, a masterpiece from composer that has been forgot- ten for more the 70 years. Davide has been working on the manuscript of this Concert, and the orchestral parts will the publish as a World preview in November 2014.

Nikos Xanthoulis - Lyra

 

Nikos Xanthoulis is a composer, trumpet player and researcher. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Sciences and has acquired a PhD in Music Theory from the Bulgarian Music Academy of Sophia. Dr. Xanthoulis is Professor of Trumpet, Harmony and Counterpoint at the National Conservatory of Athens, Greece. He is also an Assistant Researcher of the Academy of Athens and a Tutor at the Greek Open University. For twenty-five years (1983-2008) he served as the principal trumpet player in National Greek Opera Orchestra and from May 2009 till 2012 he was heading the Educational Department of the same Opera.

Chikara Imamura - Conductor

 

Chikara Imamura, Associate and then Regular Guest Conductor of the National Opera in Warsaw, conduct since 2002 “Madama Butterfly” and “Japanese Evening” in 2008 and 2010 by the celebration of diplomatic relations between Poland and Japan. He is prize winner of the 2nd Fitelberg Competition for Conductors in Katowice 1983.In 2009 conducted Imamura as a Music Director for premiere of “Samson et Dalila” at the Opera Wroclaw, in coproduction with Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Opéra Royal de Wallnie Liége, Fondazione Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste. He conducted “Nabucco” in 2012 in Japan and 9th Symphony of Beethoven at the Musikvereinsaal in Vienna in 2013. He is the President of the Japan Lutosławski Society since 2013 and member of the committee “Forum Poland” in Japan. He was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit, Odznakę honorową “Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej”,by Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski on 10.October 2013.

Rebecca Heudorfer - Soprano

 

The soprano Rebecca Heudorfer was born in Memmingen and received her first vocal training at the school of music in Krumbach.Afterwards, she studied singing with Prof. James Taylor at the Academy of music in Augsburg and choral conducting at the Musical Academy Nürnberg. She attended various master classes, among others with Prof. Rudolf Jansen, Prof. Karl Kammerlander and in the framework of the Salzburg summer Academy with Prof. Kurt Widmer and Prof. Horiana Branisteanu. Rebecca Heudorfer was a scholarship holder of the "Richard-Wagner-Verband", and the Yehudi Menuhin Stiftung for gifted young musicians, under whose auspices many concerts.

Vicky Stylianou - Piano

 

She was born in Athens, Greece, where she took the first piano lessons at the age of five. Ten years old she won the first prize of the Panhellenic Piano Competition "K. Papaioannou". She graduated from the "Athens Conservatory" with a first prize. With a scholarship from the French government she studied in Paris (Ecole Normale). She also studied at the Music Academy of Basel, where she obtained the soloist diploma.
