Italian born pianist Marco Schiavo first studied with Rinalda Tassinari Skubikowski at the Conservatory of Avellino where he graduated with the highest marks, then followed various courses of specialization studies with Bruno Canino, Aldo Ciccolini, Sergei Dorenski (Mozarteum of Salzburg). Later on he studied several years with Franco Scala in Imola.

His international debut came in 1992 with two concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg. From that point on, he started a brilliant concert career, which has lead him to perform in the main cities all over the world, invited by prestigious concert institutions and music festivals: Philharmonie and Konzerthaus of Berlin, Musikverein and Konzerthaus of Vienna, Maistersingerhalle of Nurnberg, Laeiszhalle of Hamburg, Carnegie Hall of New York, Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, Sala Verdi of Milan, Sydney Opera House, Gasteig and Herculessaal of Munich, Rudolfinum (Dvorak Hall) and Smetana Hall of Prague, Ravello Festival, Mexico City Festival. He has performed as a soloist with Berliner Symphoniker, Nürnberger Symphoniker, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, New York Symphonic Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Orchestra, St.Petersburg Hermitage Orchestra, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra dei Prof. Del Teatro S.Carlo di Napoli, the Orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, UECO, Prague Radio Symphony Orchesra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic, Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, Astana Philharmonic, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra…

In addition, he has also collaborated with artists like Mischa Maisky, Enrique Batiz, Bruno Canino, Katia Ricciarelli, Valery Oistrakh, Aiman Mussakhajayeva, Kirill Rodin, Maria Agresta, Sergio Marchegiani, the Italian actor Michele Placido. He has recorded a CD of Beethoven’s first and third piano concertos with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Valery Polyansky, a CD with all Shubert four hands program with Sergio Marchegiani ( Decca) and another with Trio Beethoven (cello, clarinet and piano) of Beethoven’s Trios op.11 and 38. In addition he has recorded live in Musikverein of Vienna a DVD whit Chopin piano concerto n. 1 with the San Luis Potosí Symphony Orchestra conducted by José Miramontes Zapata. His piano performance has been recorded and broadcast by Vatican Radio, Radio Clasica (Spain), RAI (Italy), ARD (Germany), SBS (Australia), Czech Radio 3 ( Czech Republic).
