Maestro Krzysztof Kamiński is one of the best and most famous bassoon soloists of our time.

In addition to the educational activity Krzysztof Kaminski has been working as a solo bassoonist at the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Lodz. Prof. Kaminski founded several musical ensembles, which he heads artistically - these include "Lodz Reed Trio", "Wind Quintet of the Lodz Philharmonic" and chamber orchestra "Camerata Pro Arte" - with whom he had played several concerts and also produces CDs - "Music in the Old Monastery "and" Con Corno "with the horn player Dariusz Mikulski (for German label" ZYX Classic ").

Krzysztof Kamiński in his solo career should have played more than 200 solo concerts and recitals - with orchestras such as: Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Lodz, Lublin Philharmonic, Kalisz Philharmonic, Sudeten Philharmonie, Torun Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Slupsk. As a soloist, he had the Polish premieres bassoon concertos u. A. J. Francaix, A. Jolivet and JN Hummel performed.

In 2002 he was appointed as a soloist and as a consultant to the German company Frank Mayer & Woodwinds, where he plays an active role in the improvement of the German system bassoon.

In March 2010, in the hands of the Polish State President received a title "Professor of Art". In the same year he graduated with honors "graduate studies with for managers in the field of cultural management" at the Warsaw University. Prof. Kaminski has often served as a juror at home and national music competitions and master classes - in Berlin, Pekin, Gdansk and Lodz. Since 2001 he is an expert of the Ministry of Education, and since January 2011, is the chairman of the Committee on Culture and the Arts Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lodz.

For his artistic and educational activities Prof. Kaminski was awarded several times. Among the major awards include:

  • "Medal of the 50th anniversary of the Music Academy in Lodz" (2001)
  • Award of the Polish Ministry of Culture "for special activities for development of culture" (2003, no. 732)
  • Award of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage "for special activities for obtaining the Culture and National Heritage" (2008, no. 2,807)
  • Award of the Marshal of the Lodz Region for his achievements in the field of culture (2008)
  • Award of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Lodz for his life's work - artistic, educational and organizational activities (2008)
